Purchase terms, privacy, and who handles payment
What this costs, who takes the payment, and how it reaches you. This describes how this product and this site work. It is not legal advice, and it does not claim to satisfy the consumer-protection requirements of every country a buyer might be in.
Terms of sale
- Merchant of Record, and who provides the product
- The Merchant of Record for this transaction is the Stripe entity identified on the checkout and on the receipt, under Stripe Managed Payments. It handles the checkout and the payment, the sales tax, VAT or GST that falls inside Managed Payments coverage, and support for the transaction itself. SUCCESS FACTORY wrote the product, provides it, delivers the files and answers questions about the product.Your receipt comes from Stripe and identifies the Merchant of Record for the transaction. Both payment questions and questions about the product and its delivery go to the contact shown on that receipt.
- This site's role
- SUCCESS FACTORY wrote this chapter, runs this site, which describes it, and sends the files. It does not process the purchase and receives no card details. The email address entered at checkout is read through Stripe's dashboard and used only to deliver the files and answer questions about the product.
- Provider details and how they are handled
- The product is written and provided by SUCCESS FACTORY. The identity and payout details required to open a Stripe account are supplied to Stripe directly and privately, and this site neither stores nor displays them. That is not a claim that the provider has no legal obligations, and it is not a claim of anonymity. Managed Payments changes which party transacts with the buyer; it does not remove the obligations of the person who writes and sends the product. Where a buyer is entitled to provider information, it is given on request without undue delay.
- Price
- US$39, in US dollars. The total shown on Stripe's checkout is the amount charged. Where sales tax, VAT or GST falls inside Managed Payments coverage, Stripe works it out, adds it and collects it as Merchant of Record; that is not a claim that every tax in every country is covered. If your card is denominated in another currency, your issuer converts from US dollars at their own rate and may add a fee. The Japanese edition is a separate product at a separate price, ¥4,980.
- Costs beyond the price
- The data charges for downloading are yours. Any currency conversion fee is charged by your card issuer. There is nothing else charged by this site.
- What is sold
- A digital product: Chapter 1, "Turning a positive into a product", English edition. The reader PDF, the workbook PDF and the editable workbook DOCX.
- Payment method
- Whatever Stripe's checkout offers at the time, such as a credit card. The available methods are shown on the checkout.
- When payment is taken
- Payment is settled at the point the process on Stripe's checkout completes.
- When the product is delivered
- Within 24 hours of payment. Delivery is not automatic and not instant: the files are sent by hand by SUCCESS FACTORY. Nothing is posted to you.
- How it is delivered
- By email, to the address entered on Stripe's checkout. There is no download served from this site, no account to create and no members' area to log in to.
- Returns and cancellation
- This is a digital product readable the moment it is received, so a return or cancellation after delivery because you changed your mind is generally difficult to accommodate. A refund is processed through the Stripe entity acting as Merchant of Record for the transaction. If you were charged twice, or have a question about the charge, use the contact shown on your receipt; if nothing has arrived 24 hours after payment or the file is corrupt, that is SUCCESS FACTORY's side, reachable through the same contact. Any statutory right of withdrawal you hold under the law where you live is unaffected by this paragraph. This is not a promise of a refund.
- What you need to open it
- Software that opens PDFs, and software that opens DOCX files if you want to edit the workbook.
- Quantity limits
- None. There is also no reason for one person to buy more than one.
Who does what.
The split between this site and Stripe is a clean one. Here is which side holds what.
- The Merchant of Record for this transaction is the Stripe entity identified on the checkout and on the receipt, under Stripe Managed Payments. It handles the checkout and payment, the sales tax, VAT or GST that falls inside Managed Payments coverage, and support for the transaction itself. That is not a claim that every tax in every country is covered.
- SUCCESS FACTORY (this site) wrote the chapter, describes it, sends the files and answers questions about the product. It does not process the purchase and receives no card details.
- Card details never pass through this site. The email address entered at checkout is read by SUCCESS FACTORY through Stripe's dashboard, and used only to deliver the files and answer questions about the product.
- Delivery is not automatic yet. The files are sent by hand, within 24 hours. Managed Payments is about who transacts with the buyer; it does not make delivery automatic.
What this site does not receive.
- No analytics of any kind, and no cookies set.
- No email capture field anywhere. No newsletter, no account, no sign-up.
- This site itself receives nothing about a purchase: no card details and no order record. While delivery is done by hand, SUCCESS FACTORY does read the email address entered at checkout, through Stripe's dashboard. A purchase is not anonymous.
- Past the purchase button you are on Stripe's checkout. What they do with what you enter there is governed by their own terms and privacy policy, which is worth reading on their checkout.
What this page is, and is not.
What is written here describes how this product and this site work. It is not legal advice. It also does not mean that having this page satisfies every obligation the law places on a seller or a provider, anywhere. The Merchant of Record for this transaction is the Stripe entity identified under Managed Payments; SUCCESS FACTORY wrote the chapter, provides it and delivers it. A change in which party transacts with the buyer is not a guarantee that every obligation of the person who made the product goes away.
The identity and payout details required to open a Stripe account are supplied to Stripe directly and privately. That this site neither stores nor displays them means exactly that, and no more: it is not a claim that the provider has no obligations, and it is not a claim that anybody is anonymous.
Nothing on this page attempts to state the consumer-protection law of whichever country you are reading from. If you hold a statutory right where you live, this page does not remove it and does not claim to.
What is in the product, who it suits, and what it refuses to promise are written on the Chapter 1 page.
